Threaded Tweets

December 6th, 2008

Update: Check out the conversations that were generated using this tool 🙂

Have you had a tough time following a conversation on twitter? Only to find that a frustrated you had to wait until the last tweet in the thread was done and then you navigated through the replies backwards. Not anymore 😀

Visit http://www.aswinanand.com/twitter.html and give the last twitter ID in the whole conversation list & watch as the page gets populated with tweets in the order in which they were posted.

This was quickly hacked up in an hour & hence its kinda very rough. Kindly use this and give me feedback.

Enjoy!

    Hi Aswin,

It dint work for me. It says “Loading… Please wait” for a long time.. I tried ur name (aswinanand)and mine “jegadesh” I am using Mozilla 3.0.4

Jegadesh, its not your twitter ID. It’s tweet ID. That is, for every twitter update (tweet) that you post, you get a unique ID. Moving over the time-stamp associated with a twitter update will give you that number. Paste that number here & wait-n-watch as the whole conversation unfolds.

As an example, try giving this number for tweet ID – 1050955306.

I will update that page with this explanation.

Jegadesh, I have clarified the Tweet ID confusion now by adding an image above the text box. Please check it out and let me know.
