self-realisation NEED NOT be a process which starts very early in life( althou its better if it does).our environment influences us tremendously resulting in us forming pre-judices.

in a nut-shell,we are conditioned.our mind is beaten up only to think of a certain course of action or remedy whn the need arrives.

as u bought in the issue of “parents” let me make sure that its not an aspect which we can change.perhaps,as parents tmrw we would do the same albeit not in the exact amounts.

there is a plenty of media diversity around us which influenes us daily-movies,the mass communication systems.it makes an indelible impression on mind.forget about right or wrong,emulation doesnt arrive only from that.

there are few living examples and we do not have the time to study their lives ‘cos its short of sheen and glitter.again “conditioning plays a role.

admist all this knowing ourselves is a life-long process.goals is not just about one’s career.its also about one’s life consolidatedly.

all this isnt bookish knowledge…its personal experience :D..so peace out anand..

my goal presently is to be a CA by 2009.its not the end.later its an MBA frm a premier inst.am yet to know what i really wanna do in life.education is a weapon,ammunition.acquiring it doesnt mark the end but the beginning of the war of life….

Exactly…knowing yourselves is the most important thing in life. I guess i had done a little bit of that & I’m able to realise somethings about me. Knowing about yourselves…you get to know what you are, what your potentials are etc. But where does this all start?? i used purpose implying “reason”.technically speaking a purpose also means a goal.i didnt mean that.

steps taken are attempts to reach your goal.how could ya call an effort a purpose???

to sum up the entire mess,let me tell you-humans arent born with a purpose.to make our life meaningfu,measurable,specific and interesting its we humans who draw goals and define purposes.or there wud hav been no difference between the humans and other living org’s.

thats the primary reason behind what i meant whn i said that knowing ourselves is paramount.unless we do that we keep compromising and adjusting.and as long we do that we remain as mortals…forget helping otherss…we cant even help ourselves…

God never makes plans.he gives us good and bad.it we who has to do the balancing act.we tip there and our life tips too

this whole thing moves around the very meaning of “purpose”.its not a destination which we reach.its a never ending journey.and knowing what we are isnt a single step process.we know new angles of our very own personality every now and then.its a build-up process which proceeds gradually.purposes dont remain static…

yes,life’s purpose doesnt lie in just living it to the extent possible or perhaps in making other’s live.

we know not what our purpose is till we know what we are.knowing what we are doesnt stem from necessities but from a genuine desire to dwell and explore..
